NPC’s mission is to sponsor and participate in scientific analyses of the appropriate use of pharmaceuticals and the clinical and economic value of pharmaceutical innovation. Evidence-based medicine (EBM) is a new priority within this mission, building on NPC’s long history of working with researchers, patient groups, medical professionals and payers, including employers and government officials. In addition to contributing to important EBM discussions, NPC will continue its ongoing research on the economic, clinical and societal value of pharmaceuticals and their appropriate use for optimal patient health outcomes.
